Homework 13th-17th January
Weaving Wellbeing - Lesson 6 Homework: Random Acts of Kindness
Spellings – English & Gaeilge (test every Friday)
Aoife's Class will have slightly different English spelling homework (please see the end of this blog post for more information)
Gaeilge – Reading Léigh sa Bhaile
• Monday and Tuesday night read and answer the questions (verbally) for 'Seomra Codlata Salach' lch.21
• Wednesday and Thursday night read and answer the questions (verbally) for ‘Ceolfhoireann’ lch. 22
These answers do not need to be written down.
This is a chance to practise reading and comprehension skills as Gaeilge.
English: Reading – Read library book for 10 minutes every evening (don't forget to write a book review once you have finished)
Writing – Grammar worksheet: Please complete days 17 and 18 by Friday
Maths – Tables Champion p. 19: 4 times tables - these need to be learned off-by-heart, this may take more than simply completing the 4 tasks
Remember: For the Irish spellings, you need to know the Irish and the English for each word / phrase. During the tests you are given the word/ phrase in English and then need to write it in Irish. On Friday, you will be asked, 'What kind of weather do we have today?' and you will need to write, 'Cén sort aimsir atá ann inniú?' You will then be told, 'It is _____and _____.' This will depend on the weather and you will need to write,' Tá sé ___ agus ___.'
