Homework 27th - 31st January

Weaving Wellbeing - Lesson 8 Homework: Healthy Body Challenge (p.24)

Spellings – English & Gaeilge (test every Friday)
Aoife's Class will have slightly different English spelling homework (after discussion with a number of parents, it will be at your discretion how many boxes/levels your child completes in the week. As you work through the levels there seems to be a lot more words included. Therefore, as long as one level is completed weekly, there is no need to do more, unless you think your child has the time to do so.

Gaeilge – Reading Léigh sa Bhaile
Monday and Tuesday night read and answer the questions (verbally) for 'Cá bhfuil Joey?' lch.25
Wednesday and Thursday night read and answer the questions (verbally)  for ‘Siopa Gailf!’ lch. 26
These answers do not need to be written down.
This is a chance to practise reading and comprehension skills as Gaeilge.

English: Reading – Read library book for 10 minutes every evening (don't forget to write a book review once you have finished)

Writing – Grammar worksheet: Please complete days 21 and 22 by Friday

Maths – 8 times tables continued. Please continue to learn your 8 times tables. You have been given one sheet to complete by Friday to help with this. Please do not move on in the Tables Champion Book. Only the one worksheet needs to be completed.
Here is a link to some songs to help you practise the times tables: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9rb3evcaohislbs/AADLd0JyDvay2J4WtZspIRiwa?dl=0

Country & Capital - Spain & Madrid

Remember: For the Irish spellings, you need to know the Irish and the English for each word / phrase. During the tests you are given the word/ phrase in English and then need to write it in Irish. On Friday, you will be asked, 'What kind of weather do we have today?' and you will need to write, 'Cén sórt aimsir atá ann inniu?' You will then be told, 'It is _____and _____.' This will depend on the weather and you will need to write,' Tá sé ___ agus ___.' The same will happen for, 'What kind of weather did we have yesterday?' and 'What kind of weather will we have tomorrow?'.
